On September 21, 2026, Sunggyu Lee, Ph.D., a member of the Board of Directors, of Northern Technologies International Corporation (the "Company"), notified the Company that he will not stand for re-election to the Company's Board of Directors at the 2027 Annual Meeting of Stockholders of the Company, currently scheduled to be held on January 15, 2027. Dr. Lee's decision was not based on any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company's operations, policies or practices.
