The Kansas Office of the State Bank Commissioner (OSBC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Daryl Wetter to the position of Director of Examinations/Assistant Deputy Commissioner for the Consumer and Mortgage Lending (CML) division. This promotion is effective Monday, September 29, 2025.

Wetter's distinguished career with the OSBC began over 18 years ago. He started as a Financial Examiner, later serving as a Review Examiner for 11 years, and most recently, as the Regional Manager of the Consumer Credit division since 2021.

Beyond his work at the OSBC, Daryl is heavily involved in national initiatives. He has served as the past chairman and current member of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors State Examination System (SES) Advisory Group. His experience and influence have been vital in the nationwide rollout and continued development of SES.

In his new role, Wetter will oversee all aspects of the Mortgage, Consumer Credit, and Money Transmitter examination process, playing a key role in ensuring the CML division continues to uphold its high standards and regulatory responsibilities.

"I am excited to continue my service to the State of Kansas and the OSBC in this new capacity for the benefit of both the financial institutions we regulate and the Kansas consumers we are committed to protecting," said Wetter. "The CML examination team is a collection of highly performing individuals that I now have the privilege to lead."
