City of Montgomery Parks & Recreation Seeking Volunteer Coaches for Youth Basketball Season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The City of Montgomery Parks & Recreation Department is currently recruiting volunteer basketball coaches for its upcoming Youth Basketball season and invites community members to help make a positive impact on local youth.

The department is seeking dedicated individuals who enjoy working with children, have a passion for basketball, and are committed to fostering a fun, safe, and supportive environment for young athletes. Volunteer coaches play a vital role in helping participants develop basketball skills, teamwork, confidence, and good sportsmanship.

Volunteer coaches will assist with:

• Conducting and supervising team practices
• Coaching during scheduled games
• Supporting player skill development
• Encouraging teamwork and positive sportsmanship
• Serving as positive role models for youth participants

No prior coaching experience is required. Individuals with a willingness to mentor young athletes, support youth development, and contribute to the community are encouraged to apply.
