Applications Open for 2026-2027 First Friday Art Walk Season

OCALA, Fla. (July 14, 2026) - Applications are now open for artists, arts organizations, downtown businesses and business sponsors interested in participating in the 2026-2027 First Friday Art Walk season.

First Friday Art Walk returns to downtown Ocala Friday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m., and will continue on the first Friday of each month through May 2027, with the exception of January, when Art Walk will be held on the second Friday, Jan. 8, due to the New Year's holiday.

2026-2027 First Friday Art Walk Dates:

• March 5 (Retro Sounds)
• April 2
• May 7

Applications for full-season participation must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7. Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a rolling basis throughout the season as space becomes available. Applications are available at www.ocalafl.gov/artwalk.

Each First Friday Art Walk features more than 40 local and regional visual artists and arts organizations throughout Ocala's historic downtown. In addition to visual art, visitors can enjoy live art demonstrations, street performers, local musicians, performances by school and dance groups, family-friendly activities, and extended shopping and dining hours at participating downtown businesses.
