Reno Fire Department (RFD) is pleased to release its 2025 annual report, highlighting a year of growth, resilience, and meaningful progress for the department.
From responding to record-breaking call volumes to investing in major infrastructure and supporting deployments across the country, RFD celebrates the progress it has made in serving the community.
Notable achievements from 2025 include:

Responding to 57,044 calls for service

Deploying more than 150 personnel to fires across the country

Onboarding 24 airport firefighters and incorporating Station 90

Celebrating 15 promotions and hiring two single-role EMS personnel

Completing 5,128 business inspections and 2,100 fire plan reviews

Answering 29,913 emergency medical calls for service

Adding a new squad vehicle, heavy rescue apparatus, UTV, air bottle refill trailer, ambulance and two Type 3 brush engines to its fleet

Installing Nederman exhaust systems in 10 stations, 100 percent grant-funded

Launching the Reno Fire Department Dashboard
"The Reno Fire Department accomplished remarkable things in 2025, from expanding its services to giving back to the community," said Reno Fire Chief Dave Cochran. "At the end of the day, our top priority is protecting residents, and I look forward to building on that work in 2026."
