Rankin Access Area Temporarily Closed for Repairs

NEWPORT, Tenn. - Rankin Access Area on the French Broad River is temporarily closed while crews repair the parking lot. Repairs are expected to continue through Aug. 7, weather permitting.

The site, a popular launch point for anglers, recently underwent renovations after Hurricane Helene caused significant damage, and additional work is now required to complete the improvements.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is responsible for protecting, managing, and conserving fish and wildlife species for the benefit of Tennesseans and visitors. The Agency also maintains public safety through law enforcement and safety education on waterways.
