Minister for Infrastructure and Energy Jernej Vrtovec visits Žetale to assess storm damage

Minister for Infrastructure and Energy Jernej Vrtovec visited Žetale today to inspect the consequences of the recent severe storm, which caused extensive damage to transport infrastructure and other public facilities.

Together with the Mayor of the Municipality of Žetale, Matjaž Kopše, he toured the most affected areas and received an update on the ongoing emergency response and recovery efforts.

The discussions focused primarily on damaged road sections, bridges, and landslides that are affecting the safety and accessibility of the area. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy will continue to work closely with the municipality and the relevant services to monitor the recovery process and provide support in addressing the consequences of the storm.

Minister Vrtovec also expressed his gratitude to all teams working in the field - firefighters, Civil Protection personnel, road maintenance crews, and other emergency and public services - whose dedication and hard work are helping to restore normal conditions as quickly as possible.
