First Day of School: I hope all our students, teachers, and staff enjoyed a wonderful first week back in the classroom! Here we go Teddy (1st grade), Jack (Pre-K), William (Connecting) and Lily (4 months)! Picture take #37.

SPD Marine Divion Visit: It was great to join Stamford Police Department Sergeant Fitzgibbons aboard the new police boat and see firsthand how it will enhance marine safety in Stamford Harbor. I also had the opportunity to view the new Ambulance Exchange Points, which will improve coordination among first responders during emergencies. Watch more here.

St. Leo's Fair: It was wonderful to see so many Stamford families and residents enjoying this cherished city tradition. A big thank you to the Stamford Police Department, CERT team, and all the volunteers who helped make it a safe and fun event!

Stamford 2035 Comprehensive Plan: We are excited to announce that the Stamford 2035 Draft Plan is available for public review and comment! Click here to view the plan. The Planning Board will hold an upcoming public hearing on Tuesday, September 16 (in-person at the 4th floor cafeteria at the Government Center). Stay tuned for more information!

Reimaging Bedford Street: My administration has recently launched the Reimagine Bedford Street project which is a community-driven visioning process to shape the future of Bedford Street between Broad Street and Forest Street. Walk In Permitting Schedule: Don't miss our upcoming walk-in permitting hours intended for residential and small commercial businesses such as food businesses, cosmetology, barber, and retail food establishments. City officials will be present to help those in attendance. Next session will be on Wednesday, September 10th between 8:30am - 10:30 am in the 7th Floor Lobby of Government Center.

Lathon Wider Community Center: On the morning of Thursday, January 2, the City Facilities Department was notified of a flooding incident in the basement of the Lathon Wider Community Center (137 Henry Street) caused by a failure in a piece of mechanical equipment. The target date for reopening the building is early October 2025. For any questions or urgent needs regarding the Health Department's walk-in health services, please call (203)-977-5652.

The Stamford Health Department Community Public Health Clinic has temporarily moved to 138 Stillwater Avenue - a former Optimus location. Convenient street parking is available.

Old Long Ridge Road Bridge: After a visual inspection of the Old Long Ridge Road Bridge, just south of Hunting Ridge Road, city engineers have implemented a temporary one-way traffic pattern, effective immediately. The City will share further updates as they become available.

Mill Road Bridge: The Mill Road bridge near Old Long Ridge Road is open to one lane vehicular traffic. Residents can click here for updates.

Wire Mill Bridge: The Wire Mill Bridge is currently closed to vehicular traffic due to replacement. Residents can click here for updates.
