As the nation prepares to mark 250 years since its founding, the University of North Florida is joining institutions across the nation in celebrating the American story.
Through its participation in the America 250 Florida initiative, UNF invites students, faculty and staff to explore the evolving meaning of American democracy. This spring and summer, the campus will feature lectures, performances and discussions designed to inspire reflection, dialogue and engagement.

Additional programming planned for later in the spring and summer includes a Military and Veterans Resource Center celebration in April, film screenings and roundtable discussions in May and a capstone series and symposium running from late June through early July.
The celebration is made possible through a collaborative effort among the President's Office, Office of the Provost, College of Arts and Sciences, Thomas G. Carpenter Library and Office of Public Policy Events.
