Employment law firm LightGabler LLP is presenting a free, live webinar for employers, "Navigating Leaves of Absence Laws in California." The webinar will be held on Thursday, August 27, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:50 p.m.
California employers must follow numerous federal and state leaves-of-absence laws. In this webinar for employers, supervisors, and human resources professionals, employment attorney Kathy Fellows will discuss different types of leaves of absence laws, who qualifies for each type of leave, state benefit and pay issues, and potential liability for noncompliance.
Topics include leaves related to workers' compensation, victims of crimes, bereavement, pregnancy, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), school activities and enrollment and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
