Free help to access funding for business solar, battery, energy and equipment

Whether you're running a café, retail, childcare centre or trades business, there's thousands of dollars in government funding available to help you reduce energy costs and improve efficiency.

But knowing what's out there and how to apply can be overwhelming. And it's why our free Energy and Solar Advisory Expert Service is on standby to help you access those savings.

In celebration of Small Business Month, our Energy Experts have prepared a list of currently available rebates. Plus, by combining Federal and State incentives you can multiply savings and reduce your upfront investment costs. Check out what's on offer and who can apply:

Solar

Under the Federal Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (STCs), solar installations up to 100 kW receive immediate upfront discounts applied directly to your quote. A café installing a modest 10 kW solar system can save around $2,500

Stacked battery rebates

Battery storage helps you lock in low rates and protect against peak energy prices.

By combining the Federal Cheaper Home Batteries scheme with the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS), you could save between $10,300 and $15,500 for installing a 30-kWh battery.

Rebates are available for battery storage, energy-efficient equipment and Virtual Power Plant participation, where a network of batteries is created, helping reduce both your upfront and ongoing energy costs.

EVs and charging

Reduce your ongoing fleet costs by investing in battery electrical vehicles (BEVs) through the NSW EV Fleets Incentive.

Businesses operating a fleet of 3 or more NSW-registered vehicles can access upfront co-funding to help transition to EVs, with incentives of up to $8,000 per eligible BEV ute, $5,000 per eligible BEV car or SUV, and up to $3,000 per AC charging port. Replacing 2 diesel or petrol utes with BEVs and installing 2 charging ports could attract up to $22,000 in funding. Heavy vehicles qualify for up to $50,000 each.

Energy efficient equipment

Through the NSW Energy Savings Scheme, replacing legacy commercial air conditioning, hot water systems or refrigerated display cabinets with high-efficiency models can trim thousands more off your upgrade costs. Savings vary by product and project size, but rebates can be worth thousands of dollars.
