Police Investigate Fatal Vehicle Crash on West Wendover Avenue
GREENSBORO, NC (July 16, 2026) - A 62-year-old High Point man died at the scene of a crash Wednesday on West Wendover Avenue.
At approximately 3:41 p.m. Wednesday, Greensboro Police, Greensboro Fire, and Guilford County EMS responded to the 4500 block of West Wendover Avenue for a single vehicle crash involving injuries.
Adolf Bailey was driving a Toyota Avalon west on West Wendover Avenue when the vehicle went over the center median, crossed the eastbound lanes, left the road, and collided with a tree. Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.
The Greensboro Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit responded and is investigating the crash.
