Brother Industries, Ltd. (President: Kazufumi Ikeda) today announced that it was selected by U.K. company Clarivate, a global information services firm, for "Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2026" as one of the 100 organizations leading the world in technology research and innovation. This marks the nineth time that Brother has received this award.

Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators is a list of the world's top 100 organizations leading the world in technology research and innovation, which are selected once annually based on patent data that Clarivate holds. The selection process is conducted based on rigorous and objective data extracted from Clarivate's world-leading value-added patent database, the Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI), and its patent research and analysis platform, Derwent Innovation, as well as the company's own unique evaluation criteria. This recognition is awarded to organizations that are acknowledged for their innovation, commitment to intellectual property protection, and for producing inventions that have a global impact. For this year's selection, five factors of registered patents were used for score calculation: influence, success, investment, and rarity in addition to quantity. Among these factors, Brother achieved a particularly high score for "success", which led to this award.
