City of Atlanta Suspends Solid Waste, Recycling, Yard Debris, and Bulk Collections on Monday

All solid waste services are suspended due to weather impacts

ATLANTA-The City of Atlanta has announced that all solid waste, recycling, yard debris, and bulk collection services will be suspended on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to hazardous winter weather. This decision is made with the safety and well-being of the solid waste crews in mind.

Residents with bulk collections scheduled for this week will receive notifications about a rescheduled service date.

The City is closely monitoring the forecast and will resume all collection services as soon as it is safe to do so, prioritizing solid waste and recycling collection. Residents should not place carts at the curb on Monday.

We will provide further updates, and services will resume when conditions improve and it is safe for crews to return.

Residents with questions or needing assistance can contact ATL311, the City's customer service center, at www.atl311.com or by dialing 404-546-0311. They can also use the Waste Wizard, the solid waste collection tool, at www.atlantaga.gov/solidwaste.
