New Hours Announced For Glendale Library, Arts & Culture
GLENDALE, CA - Beginning on Monday, July 6, 2026, Glendale Library, Arts & Culture will implement new hours of operation across their eight locations. The hours for each branch will be as follows:
Central Library

The adjusted hours are part of the City of Glendale's broader cost-saving measures included in the adopted 2026-2027 budget, while continuing to provide residents with reliable access to library, arts, and cultural services during the hours that best serve each neighborhood location. In addition to in-person service hours, Glendale Library, Arts & Culture offers a wide range of free online resources available 24 hours a day, including eBooks, music, videos, online learning tools, research materials, and more at

Founded in 1907, the Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Department includes eight neighborhood libraries including the Brand Library & Art Center, a regional visual arts and music library and performance venue housed in the historic 1904 mansion of Glendale pioneer Leslie C. Brand, and the Central Library, a 93,000 square foot center for individuals and groups to convene, collaborate and create. The department also serves as the chief liaison to the Glendale Arts and Culture Commission which works to continually transform Glendale into an ever-evolving arts destination.
