World Day for Safety and Health at Work: Occupational Safety and Health in European Mining

At Atalaya Mining, safety is built through the daily experience of the team members, whose involvement and commitment are fundamental both for identifying risks and for generating improvement proposals.

This vision is based on two key initiatives. The first is 'Leadership in the Field,' a program recognized with the Euromines 2025 award that brings prevention directly to the workplace, giving a voice to members of all areas through direct observations and conversations that allow for the identification and prevention of potential incidents.

This program is reinforced by the 'Zero Harm Challenge,' where participants' ideas, supported by Artificial Intelligence, drive improvements in training, awareness, and operations.

At the same time, the entire team is ensured to work in optimal conditions through monitoring their occupational health and preventive controls to detect substances capable of altering perception or behavior in the work environment.
