Project Announcement: Evaluation of DoD Internal Controls over Medical Care Provided by DoD Personnel Assigned to the Office of the Attending Physician (Project No. D2025-DEV0HD-0084.000)

Evaluation

The purpose of this memorandum is to notify you that we are initiating the subject evaluation. The objective of this evaluation is to assess how effectively DoD personnel assigned to the Office of the Attending Physician (OAP) perform their responsibilities, including providing medical care to beneficiaries. We plan to perform this evaluation in accordance with the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency's "Quality Standards for Inspection and Evaluation."

We will perform the evaluation at the OAP, Defense Health Agency, and Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. We may identify additional locations during the evaluation.
