Percival Plinth Project Olympia City Council has selected Crane Study #47 by Travis Pond as the 2025 Peoples' Choice winner of the Percival Plinth Project, where community members vote each year on sculptures displayed at Percival Landing to join the City's permanent collection. Applications for the 2026 Plinth Project are open through January 5, 2026. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Lula Fest on 9/27 Celebrate Hispanic and Latinx heritage at Lula Fest, a free, family-friendly festival on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1-8 pm in downtown Olympia at the historic Capitol Theater. Enjoy live music, vendors, activities, custom cars, and more, hosted by Lula Fest LLC, the Olympia Film Society, and the Washington State Latino Leadership Network, with support from the City of Olympia. Job Opportunity - Lead Preschool Instructor We are hiring a Lead Preschool Instructor to develop curriculum and lead our Preschool by the Bay classes for children ages 3-5. This part-time position is up to 69 hours per month at $20/hr DOE, with flexible prep time. Minimum requirements include at least 2 years of experience or training in early childhood education and current First Aid and infant/child CPR certification. Applications are due by October 6, 2025.
