Southwestern University's Chemistry Department recently hosted students from Georgetown ISD's Annie Purl Elementary School for a day of learning and fun. SU chemistry students worked together to create a community-engaged learning project focused on chemical education research. Fifth grade students received hands-on experience in the lab, working to create, measure, and report on homemade bath bombs. The group also received a tour of Southwestern, learning about University tradition, history, and what collegiate life is like.
