Contra Costa County - Caltrans Construction has revised its traffic management plan during emergency repairs for roadway settlement on southbound I-680 in Pleasant Hill, just south of Willow Pass Road and before the Monument Boulevard off-ramp. For the safety of both drivers and work crews, eastbound and westbound Willow Pass Road/Sun Valley Boulevard on-ramps to southbound I-680, along with the far-right lanes, will be closed while compaction grouting operations continue.

Compaction grouting is the first phase of the emergency repair project and will stabilize the roadway foundation beneath the settled pavement.

These repairs are necessary to restore the structural integrity of the roadway and prevent additional settlement and erosion.
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays, prepare to merge and allow for extra travel time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
