Outstanding students recognized at Marquette Business Honors Convocation

The College of Business Administration recognized 44 students at the Marquette Business Honors Convocation on Friday, April 10, for their academic excellence, commitment to service and leadership, and contributions to the college and community.

"This event is an opportunity to honor students while surrounded by those who've supported them every step of the way: family, friends and faculty," said Beth Krey, assistant dean of undergraduate programs. "Each recognition is a celebration of the passion, perseverance and impact they've made throughout the academic year. Their commitment to continuous leaning and ethical leadership makes the Marquette Business community proud."

The 102nd annual ceremony recognized 24 undergraduate students - two per major - with the Outstanding Senior Award and the Service and Leadership Award, respectively. Seven graduate students were recognized with the T.R. Martin Award for Excellence in Graduate Education in their chosen academic fields. The last award presented - the Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Senior Award - recognized a senior who exemplifies excellence in business throughout the entire college.

The Honors Convocation also celebrated 15 inductees to the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit honor society for scholarship, loyalty, service and the pursuit of intellectual development. Additionally, 39 students were inducted to the Beta Gamma Sigma international business honor society, an international honor society for the top 5% of business school programs around the world.
