Kids Night out gives parents a break, kids a night of fun

North Port Parks & Recreation Department is proud to once again host Kids Night Out, a program that provides more than just an evening of games and crafts. Taking place on Friday, Dec. 12, from 5-8:30 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way, the evening offers children in grades K-5 a safe and welcoming place to learn, play and build friendships while giving parents a chance to recharge during the busy holiday season.

For many families, the weeks leading up to the holidays can be both joyful and overwhelming. Kids Night Out helps ease that stress by creating a community-supported space where parents can enjoy a night off or catch up on holiday preparations while knowing their children are being cared for by trained staff. Children will enjoy a variety of activities including group games, arts and crafts, and a light dinner, all in a supervised environment designed to spark creativity and fun.

"This program is one of the many ways Parks & Recreation supports the wellbeing of our community," said Curtis Champion, Recreation Supervisor. "It's about more than just entertainment; it's about creating balance for families and ensuring kids have positive, engaging experiences while parents have peace of mind."

Pre-registration is required, and the cost is $15 per child. Space is limited, so families are encouraged to register early to secure a spot.

For more information or to register, visit Kids Night Out under NorthPortFL.gov/General-Interest or call 941-429-PARK (7275), option 7.
