YORK, Pa - Nearly $50,000 in grants will help Penn State York students attend national conferences, provide scholarships to help grow emerging leaders, and ensure campus history is preserved, among other things.
The grants, awarded by the Penn State York Women's Philanthropic Network (WPN), benefit six recipients from across the campus. WPN's Grant Committee decided who received the grants, as well as the award amounts, by looking through applications, which included a two-minute video that explained why the money is needed and what it will be used for.
Grant winners were invited to a reception and meet and greet on Dec. 1 on the Penn State York campus.
This year's grants will help fund:
The Penn State York WPN brings women together, both face-to-face and with technology, to unite their financial power in a collective voice-to create, nurture, and transform Penn State York through philanthropy and encourage the development of women as philanthropic leaders.
