Governor Tate Reeves Sets Two Special Elections

JACKSON, Miss. - Governor Tate Reeves today announced that he has set two special elections for the Mississippi House of Representatives.

The first is for House District 77 to fill the vacancy created by the death of Representative Price Wallace. The second is for House District 70 to fill the vacancy created by the death of Representative William "Bo" Brown.

The special election in House District 77 (Rankin and Simpson counties) and House District 70 (Hinds County) will be held on November 3, 2026. The qualifying deadline for both special elections is August 20, 2026.
