Stony Brook University's second annual Winterfest gave members of the SBU community a chance to take a break from their busy schedules, have a little fun and learn something new.
Held from January 12-21, the campuswide initiative offered a variety of opportunities for Stony Brook University faculty, staff, students, and OLLI members to learn a new hobby or teach a talent. From engaging in arts and crafts projects to experiencing a new cuisine to learning important life skills, the event allowed the Stony Brook community to expand their knowledge.
The schedule of events featured a variety of workshops, a jazz social lounge, karaoke, hiking, yoga, meditation and much more. Campus partners included Healthier U, which provides an innovative wellness program for all employees, designed to address the total well-being: mind, body and spirit.
