The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is withdraws two Freedom's Choice products due to the potential presence of mold, according to an internal withdrawal notice from DeCA's food safety office sent Aug. 4.
DeCA has publicized this withdrawal to all its stores, said Richard Stith, Chief, Public Health Division, DeCA headquarters. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
The following products are affected by this withdrawal:
• Freedom's Choice Concord Grape Jelly 18 ounce: UPC: 8-42798-10286, best by date Nov. 27.
• Freedom's Choice Strawberry Preserves 18 ounce: UPC: 8-42798-10291, best by date Nov. 27.
Customers should return the product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
