El Salvador, September 25, 2025 - Committed to strengthening the business sector, through the DINAMICA II Initiative we support the presentation of results from the project "Cajita Digital: Tools for innovation and technological transformation in Business Development Centers (CDE)"; This is part of the Non-Reimbursable Technical Assistance granted to Gerardo Barrios University (UGB) in the amount of US$46,870.00.
This project has marked a decisive step toward the inclusion of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the digital transformation, an increasingly urgent need for the sustainability and growth of this key sector of the national economy.
A key component of this initiative was the creation of a web portal, designed, installed, and launched as a centralized platform offering MSMEs access to tools, resources, and advice related to digitization. This enabled entrepreneurs and business owners to explore new business opportunities.
Similarly, through this support, CDMYPE advisors were trained and accredited as coaches and mentors in digital transformation, enabling them to provide direct support to MSMEs in their digitization process and to become key players in the successful implementation of technological solutions.
The conclusion of this Technical Assistance marks the beginning of a new phase to empower more than 200 micro and small enterprises, 60% of which are led by women, providing them with the tools necessary for modernization and contributing to the region's economic growth.
This effort has been made possible by the DINAMICA II Initiative, a tripartite effort by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), the German government, through KfW, and the European Union, which seeks to benefit entrepreneurs and new, young, and innovative MSMEs or those with development potential who wish to strengthen their technical and commercial skills, contributing to economic development and poverty reduction in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
