HARTFORD - The Conference of State Bank Supervisors has advised that mortgage licensees and registrants will be required to use Form Version 7 to file quarterly mortgage call reports ("MCRs") on the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry ("NMLS") starting with the first quarter of 2026 which is due on May 15, 2026. The mortgage industry has raised concerns about compliance with the requirements of the new Form Version 7 and has asked that licensees and registrants be allowed to correct any errors that may occur in the first quarter 2026 MCR filing, due to the new form, without penalty after the May 15 due date. In response to those concerns, pursuant to Section 36a-1-8 of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies, the Banking Commissioner ("Commissioner") hereby issues a no-action position concerning potential enforcement for the failure of a mortgage licensee or registrant to submit accurate reports of condition using Form Version 7 for the first quarter of 2026, as required pursuant to Sections 36a-534b(c) and 36a-719(f) of the Connecticut General Statutes. Absent any further action by the Commissioner, this no-action will expire on August 15, 2026. Therefore, any errors contained in the first quarter 2026 MCR filing must be corrected with an amendment to the filing no later than August 15, 2026, to comply with the requirements of NMLS and Sections 36a-534b(c) and 36a-719(f) of the Connecticut General Statutes.
