DGA Statement on Maine GOP Primary Results
DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to Bobby Charles becoming the Republican nominee for governor in Maine:
"Bobby Charles is too extreme, too anti-choice, and too out-of-touch to be Maine's next governor. Charles is running to end abortion rights, take away MaineCare, create economic chaos, and sell out Maine to Donald Trump. Even Republicans have publicly said that Charles is too extreme for Maine voters and called his agenda an economic disaster. We couldn't agree more."Bobby Charles belongs on Truth Social - not in the Blaine House. The DGA looks forward to defeating him this November."
