Assistant Foreign Minister Cai Wei Chairs the 19th Meeting of National Coordinators for China-CEEC Cooperation

On April 9, 2026, Assistant Foreign Minister Cai Wei chaired the 19th Meeting of National Coordinators for China-CEEC Cooperation in Beijing. Coordinators or representatives from Central and Eastern European countries attended the meeting.

‌Cai Wei highly praised the fruitful achievements of the China-CEEC cooperation mechanism over the past 14 years, stating that China is willing to work with member countries to strengthen cooperation, build the mechanism into an important platform for addressing risks and challenges and exploring development opportunities, provide greater stability and certainty for relations between China and Central and Eastern European countries, and promote the coordinated development of bilateral relations, regional cooperation, and China-Europe relations.

The representatives from various countries agreed with the remarks. They expressed their willingness to uphold the principles of mutual respect, openness and inclusiveness as well as mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, deepen exchanges and cooperation in such areas as trade and investment, inspection and quarantine, connectivity, green innovation, small and medium-sized enterprises as well as people-to-people exchanges under the framework of the mechanism, and promote more tangible outcomes to benefit the peoples of all countries.
