Lane Closure - Sundowner Avenue

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, the outside southbound lane of South Sundowner Avenue will be closed between 63rd Street and 65th Street. Southbound traffic will be detoured utilizing West 63rd Street, South John Avenue, and West 66th Street.

The City of Sioux Falls Public Works crews will be making repairs to the street surface following a recent water main repair.

This work is anticipated to be completed and southbound traffic reopened by 6:00 p.m. the same day.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate route.

Lane, Parking, & Sidewalk Closure - 10th Street

Beginning on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the far-left westbound lane of 10th Street will be closed at Mall Avenue to allow crews to perform accessible curb ramp repair work along the south side of 10th Street. Two lanes of westbound traffic will be maintained during the work.

The sidewalk and parking lane on the south side of 10th Street will also be closed during this work. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured around the work zone.

Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed in approximately two weeks.

Beginning on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the far-left eastbound lane of 11th Street will be closed at Mall Avenue to allow crews to perform accessible curb ramp repair work along the north side of 11th Street. Two lanes of eastbound traffic will be maintained during the work.

The sidewalk and parking lane on the north side of 11th Street will also be closed during this work. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured around the work zone.

Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed in approximately two weeks. After the work on the north side of 11th Street is completed, work will shift to the south side of 11th Street for approximately two weeks.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
