Announcement: New Information Technology and Cybersecurity Examination Program
The Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending (SML) has launched an Information Technology (IT) and Cybersecurity Examination Program to strengthen the protection of consumer information and enhance supervisory oversight of regulated entities' management of IT and cybersecurity risk. SML has begun conducting specialized IT and Cybersecurity examinations to assess regulated entities' compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of regulated entities' information security programs.
