SCE Wildfire Safety Community Meeting

Southern California Edison (SCE) may use Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) during times of low humidity, dry vegetation, and high winds to keep communities safe. These proactive outages may be longer and more widespread in our high-desert and mountain communities-including areas that have not historically experienced PSPS.

To help residents stay informed and prepared, SCE is hosting a hybrid (in-person and virtual) Wildfire Safety Community Meeting:

WHAT: SCE Wildfire Safety Community Meeting (hybrid)

WHO: SCE Representatives

WHERE: Virtual (see below); Crowley Lake Community Center (482 S. Landing Rd #474, Mammoth Lakes, CA)

WHEN: Tuesday, September 30, 2025; 6:00-8:00 PM

HOW: Attend in person or join virtually.

You'll learn about:

  • SCE Meteorology & Fire Science
  • PSPS Policy & Decision-Making
  • Wildfire Mitigation Plan & Grid Hardening Updates
  • Outage Preparedness & Customer Support Programs
