WHAT:
Spokane City Council will host Community Days to honor our country's heroes and celebrate those who support them.
"This Community Day event is to honor the brave men and women who served our country with courage and sacrifice," said Council Member Kitty Klitzke. "While Veterans Day is a time for gratitude, let's support veterans every day of the year. Volunteer, advocate, and lend a hand to ensure they're never alone, and show we appreciate their sacrifices."
"Civic engagement goes beyond just participating in politics and policy; it also includes community development and recognizing those who contribute to our country, city, and neighborhood," said Council Member Shelby Lambdin. "Events like Community Days bring us together, helping us learn, understand, and reflect on our city."
