Construction for the Return Flow Pipeline Scheduled for Intersection of Sanders and Buford Dam Roads Starting Feb. 10

Work on the Lake Lanier Return Flow System continues!

Construction for the Return Flow Pipeline is scheduled for the intersection of Sanders Road and Buford Dam Road. Work will begin Tuesday, Feb. 10, and is expected to continue through the end of the month, weather permitting. Expect lane closures and delays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

What construction work will be taking place? A contractor will be installing an undercrossing and 36-inch pipeline across the intersection. The completed Return Flow System will convey highly treated water from the Fowler Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) to Lake Lanier. Learn more about the Lake Lanier Return Flow System.
