Stanislaus State Online MBA Program Recognized by U.S. News & World Report

Stanislaus State has been recognized in the 2026 Best Online Programs rankings released Tuesday, Jan. 27, by U.S. News & World Report.

The University's online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program was ranked No. 136 nationally among more than 300 programs evaluated in the Best Online MBA Programs, earning an overall score of 72.

The annual Best Online Programs rankings assess online degree programs based on criteria that reflect academic quality and student success, including faculty credentials, student engagement and the services and technology that support distance learners. The rankings are designed to help prospective students identify programs that offer flexibility while maintaining rigorous academic standards.

"Stanislaus State's Online MBA is designed to meet students where they are, while maintaining the academic rigor and real-world relevance they expect from a graduate business program," said interim Dean for the College of Business Administration Sacha Joseph-Mathews.

"As one of California's most affordable online MBA programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, placing it among the top 6 percent of business schools worldwide, the program supports social mobility and welcomes students from non-business backgrounds, equipping them with the technical skills they need to take their careers to the next level."

"As one of California's most affordable online MBA programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), placing it among the top 6 percent of business schools worldwide, the program supports social mobility and welcomes students from non-business backgrounds, equipping them with the technical skills they need to take their careers to the next level. This recognition reflects the strength of our faculty, curriculum and commitment to serving working professionals."

The recognition reflects Stan State's continued commitment to providing accessible, high-quality graduate education that supports working professionals and adult learners through flexible online formats.

The online MBA recognition builds on the University's recent national and regional accolades. Last fall, U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges placed Stan State among the West's best universities with four top 10 rankings. In addition, the Wall Street Journal/College Pulse ranked the University No. 4 in the nation for social mobility in its Best Colleges in the U.S. list.

The Princeton Review also named Stan State one of the nation's Best Value Colleges and included the University in its annual "Best 391 Colleges for 2026" guide for the 20th consecutive year, highlighting its academic excellence and affordability.
