The first consular consultations between Tajikistan and Egypt

On January 28, 2026, the first consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt were held in Cairo.

The Tajik delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Farrukh Sharifzoda, and the Egyptian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Haddod Al-Jawhari.

The parties discussed various issues related to consular relations and bilateral cooperation. During the consultations, a Memorandum of Understanding on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports was signed between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
