Richard Allen Jewellery Join Hull and East Yorkshire Fashion Week as Jewellery Partner

We are excited to announce that Richard Allen Jewellery has joined Hull and East Yorkshire Fashion Week as the main jewellery partner.

The event, which was founded by fashion designer, Seguntuyi Onakoya, runs from Saturday 30th May to Saturday 6th June and will showcase the best of the new fashion designers the city has to offer. Students currently studying at University of Hull and East Riding College now have HEY Fashion Week as part of their course, giving them an opportunity to gain real industry experience and make valuable connections.

As Official Jeweller Partner, Richard Allen Jewellery will be actively involved in a series of events where we will not only be showcasing our latest collection but will also see us offering advice and support to those new designers looking for a career in fashion and jewellery design.

The timetable of events is as follows:

• Sat 30th May - The Grand Opening featuring the Hull Trade Fair, live demonstrations, presentations and live music. We will be showcasing our collections as well as doing a presentation and a live demonstration.
• Wed 3rd June - The Big Reveal which is the preview night and creative networking event. We will be present and actively encouraging the designers to network and seek out new connections.
• Thur 4th June - Hair & Beauty Walk focusing on hair and make-up artists and featuring demonstrations and talks. We will be taking part in a panel discussion and discussing jewellery as an essential beauty adornment.
• Fri 5th June - Theatre of Dreams will feature live theatrical performances, music and creative collaborations and cultural expression. We, again, will be talking about our jewellery design opportunities.
• Sat 6th June - The Grande Finale will feature the main runway event celebrating the best of local and national student designers. Models will be wearing Richard Allen Jewellery pieces alongside jewellery designed by fashion students and we will be present to help the students to network and promote their designs.

"I personally feel this is a fantastic opportunity for talented local designers to showcase their work on a main stage without the expense of travelling to London. It will also give us the chance to demonstrate the progress we have made over the last few years so that it hopefully acts as a great motivator for any new designer just starting out on their journey.
