On 3 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, met with H.E. Mr. Ville Tavio, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland, on the sidelines of the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM) in Paris.

Both sides agreed to strengthen economic and investment cooperation in sectors of mutual interest, especially in start-ups, as well as the negotiations for the Thailand-EU Free Trade Agreement (Thailand-EU FTA). Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister expressed Thailand's commitment to working closely with Finland in support of Thailand's goal of accession to the OECD by 2028. Both sides looked forward to welcoming future visits at a mutually convenient opportunity #TH2OECD
