HARRISBURG - State grants totaling more than $127,000 were awarded to community and economic development projects in Luzerne County this week, according to Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) and Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski (D-121), who worked with local leaders to secure this highly competitive funding.
"I am pleased that Bear Creek and Buck townships were awarded this competitive funding for important infrastructure upgrades and increased community safety," Argall said.
"These grants represent meaningful investments in our communities and will help improve public spaces, strengthen local services and support important infrastructure upgrades," Pashinski said. "I am proud to work with Sen. Argall and our local partners to help secure funding that directly benefits residents throughout our region."
This funding was awarded through the Luzerne County Local Share Account program, which distributes gaming revenue to projects that support community and economic development. The funding was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
