Louise Mason-Rutherford Appointed UK Head of Burson Buchanan

Burson's Boutique Strategic Advisory Firm has a Forty-Year History in the City

London, 19th October, 2026 - Burson, the global communications leader purpose-built to create value for clients through reputation, today announced the promotion of Louise Mason-Rutherford to UK Head, of strategic communications and financial markets advisory firm Burson Buchanan, effective immediately. She will also serve on Burson's UK Leadership Team.

Mason-Rutherford brings more than 20 years' experience in financial and corporate communications, strategic communications, corporate reputation, investor relations and crisis communications. Her experience includes advising clients on initial public offerings (IPOs), M&A, shareholder activism, private equity, secondary fundraising and corporate advisory work.

Most recently, she served as a partner, managing some of the agency's key client relationships, and leading the UK team in advising clients through a wide range of complex situations and strategic opportunities to protect and build reputation and optimise valuation.

In her new role, Mason-Rutherford will work closely with Reid in the U.S. to continue delivering highly specialised strategic communications and financial markets advisory services, while strengthening and expanding key client relationships and drawing on the extensive resources of Burson's global teams.

Mason-Rutherford began her career in the City before joining Buchanan as a Director, subsequently holding senior roles at Citigate Dewe Rogerson, Portland and The Blakeney Group before returning to Burson Buchanan. Throughout her career, she has advised a broad range of UK and international businesses, from emerging growth companies to FTSE 100 organizations, across sectors including energy, natural resources, aerospace, engineering, industrials, retail and financial services.
