Amsterdam, 5 November 2026 - Sligro Food Group has won the Henri Sijthoff Prize in the 'other listed companies' category. The other nominees were Arcadis and Fugro. Following three previous wins, in 2002, 2016 and 2020, and no fewer than twelve nominations since 2002, Sligro Food Group has now won the FD Henri Sijthoff Prize for the fourth time.
The jury of the FD Henri Sijthoff Prize commented: "Sligro has consistently impressed the jury with its concise annual reports and quarterly and analyst reports. 'Clear and accessible,' according to the jury report, 'and enjoyable to read as well.' The jury appreciates the openness with which Sligro reports on issues where progress has been less favourable. 'When it comes to sustainability, Sligro provides practical and concrete examples in its reporting, such as its approach to tobacco, sugar and packaging. The company shows courage by addressing issues that could negatively affect its own sales.'"
The FD Henri Sijthoff Prize is an annual award presented by Het Financieele Dagblad to companies that excel in financial and non-financial annual reporting and corporate communication.
The prize has been awarded since 1954. It was established by H.A.H. Sijthoff, former director and owner of Het Financieele Dagblad, and named after his father. Annual reports and other corporate reporting are assessed by an independent judging panel. Both annual reporting and all forms of interim reporting are taken into consideration.
The prize consists of a replica of sculptor Pieter d'Hondt's bronze statue of a man reading a newspaper, which stands on the Damrak in Amsterdam, opposite the stock exchange.
