On October 1, Justin Boone began his tenure as the vice chair of the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) Board of Directors after serving previously on the Board of Directors for two years.
Justin has been involved with NIBS for almost twenty years through the Building Enclosure Councils (BECs) and the Building Enclosure Technology Council (BETEC). His involvement with NIBS has allowed him to collaborate with top experts in the fields of architecture, engineering, construction, real estate, facilities management, and public policy to influence national building practices and standards, direct cutting-edge research, advance building science education, and maximize his efforts to positively impact the built environment. This new position aligns with Justin's focus on initiatives directed at advancing WJE's building science practice.
NIBS bridges research, policy, and practice to drive innovation in the built environment. Their mission is to strengthen America's infrastructure by advancing safety, resilience, and technology.
