WASHINGTON - The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement highlighting recent examples of the worst illegal aliens arrested in the state of Iowa, including those convicted for such crimes as domestic violence, drug trafficking, and driving under the influence.
"During those four long years of disastrous open borders and sanctuary policies under Biden, every state became a border state. That includes the great state of Iowa," said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. "In recent weeks, ICE has arrested violent assailants, drug traffickers, and drunk drivers. President Trump has promised to make America safe again, and that is what we're doing by arresting and deporting illegal aliens. DHS will never stop until we have removed as many illegal aliens as possible in order to make everyone's communities safer."
Among the worst illegal aliens arrested in Iowa recently are:
Manuel Avalos Banderas, an illegal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE in Pottawattamie County on October 19. His criminal history includes convictions for TWO counts of first-degree burglary, dangerous drugs, and illegal re-entry.

Axel Sanchez Torres, an illegal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE in Muscatine on October 1. His criminal history includes domestic violence, drug trafficking, and driving under the influence of liquor.
Gerzon Martinez-Aleman, an illegal alien from El Salvador, arrested by ICE in Hardin County on October 22. Her criminal history includes convictions for intent to deliver cocaine, intent to manufacture/deliver methamphetamine, and carrying weapons - transport in vehicle.
Jefri Hanwar Abel Cap Villagran, an illegal alien from Guatemala, arrested by ICE in Hardin County on October 15.
