UIL and RCQE sign strategic partnership to advance lifelong learning in the Arab region and beyond

Under the theme From Commitment to Action: Promoting Lifelong Learning in the Arab Region , the joint initiative will focus on two key components:

Regional Policy Forum and Capacity-Building

A biannual policy forum will be co-organized to promote lifelong learning across the Arab region and beyond. Each edition will spotlight specific commitments from the MFA, fostering policy dialogue, peer learning, and collaborative problem-solving. The forum will also feature capacity-building activities to support stakeholders in enhancing the quality of lifelong learning, advancing UNESCO Learning Cities, and addressing other priority themes.

Contextualizing Capacity Building and Translating Flagship Publications

The collaboration will also support the contextualization of capacity-building courses on lifelong learning, digital learning and AI, Education for Sustainable Development, and more, ensuring regional relevance. Flagship publications such as the Global Report on Learning Cities and Embracing a Culture of Lifelong Learning will be translated into Arabic. RCQE will also contribute to the UIL webinar series on lifelong learning, providing interpretation and regional expertise.
