Iowa City Hy-Vee Employee Honored with Picture on Truck for More Than 45 Years of Service

IOWA CITY, Iowa (Aug. 6, 2026) - The helpful smile of an Iowa City Hy-Vee employee is now featured on the side of a semi-trailer to honor the more than 45 years of service she has dedicated to the company.

Lori Kowalke's picture was unveiled Thursday during a celebration at the North Dodge Street Hy-Vee, where she serves as retail accounting and inventory lead.

Hy-Vee first started featuring long-serving employees on semi-truck wraps in 1997, and it has since become a cherished tradition at the company.
