Mayor Bowser Announces RFK Project Lead Brian Hanlon Will Lead Day-to-Day Responsibilities for RFK Campus, Stadium, and Infrastructure Delivery

(Washington, DC) - Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced Brian Hanlon will serve as the RFK Project Executive and lead the RFK process, responsible for the planning and delivery of the new stadium, associated infrastructure, and the Mayor's vision for the RFK campus. Hanlon will lead the work to ensure the stadium is delivered by July 2030. He will continue his role as Director of the Department of Buildings, ensuring continuity across major development and permitting functions throughout the District.

Lindsey Parker, the Mayor's Chief of Staff, will transition into a new role as Senior Advisor to the Mayor, driving whole-of-government coordination behind the RFK campus delivery. Tomás Talamante will serve as the Mayor's Chief of Staff while continuing to lead the Intergovernmental Affairs portfolio.

About the RFK campus redevelopment project:

In September, the Council of the District of Columbia passed the Robert F. Kennedy Campus Redevelopment Act of 2025, the legislation to bring the Commanders home to RFK and activate 180 acres of opportunity on the banks of the Anacostia River. The first phase of development, to include the new stadium, is on track to deliver in 2030.
