RICHMOND, IN - Congressman Jefferson Shreve (IN-06) hosted a veterans roundtable at Richmond City Hall to hear directly from Wayne County veterans about access to care, VA services, and the Richmond VA Clinic.
Wayne County is home to more than 4,000 veterans. The discussion focused on how local veterans use the VA system, where it is working, and where Congress can help improve service and access.
"Wayne County veterans served this country, and they've earned care that is timely, reliable, and close to home," said Rep. Shreve. "This roundtable was about listening directly to the men and women who use the VA system. Their experience matters, and it will help guide my work in Congress as we keep pressing for better care and stronger support for Hoosier veterans."
In Congress, Rep. Shreve has supported legislation to strengthen veterans' benefits and health care. He has cosponsored the Major Richard Star Act and the Veterans' ACCESS Act of 2025, and supported $1.64 billion through the 2027 appropriations process for a new VA medical center in Indianapolis.
