International corporate lawyer John Chrisman has joined FBT Gibbons' Private Equity & Venture practice group as a partner in the firm's Dallas office, further strengthening the firm's capabilities in corporate transactions and multinational matters.

Chrisman joins FBT Gibbons from Dentons, bringing more than 37 years of experience advising governments, global companies, and financial institutions on complex domestic and international matters, including capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, private equity and venture investments, and corporate investigations. His practice encompasses both equity and debt offerings, M&A as well as high-stakes internal investigations.

Over the course of his career, Chrisman has built a global practice with deep roots in the Asia Pacific, where he has led hundreds of transactions and cultivated longstanding client relationships. His work has taken him across major financial centers worldwide, advising on strategic investments and capital markets activity.

Chrisman has been widely recognized for his work, including being named one of India's International Top Lawyers by India Business Law Journal and being recognized by Best Lawyers in America® for Mergers and Acquisitions Law. He has also been recognized as a "Hot 40" lawyer by Australasian Legal Business.
