NATA Celebrates 50 Years of Safety and Success: Workers’ Compensation Insurance Program Reaches Golden Milestone

Washington, DC, April 28, 2026 - NATA (National Air Transportation Association) proudly announces the 50th anniversary of its Workers' Compensation Insurance Program. For half a century, the program has supported aviation businesses with specialized coverage, a strong focus on workplace safety, and meaningful financial returns for participants.

Since its inception, NATA's Workers' Compensation Insurance Program has reflected a long-standing commitment to helping aviation businesses strengthen safety practices while managing risk more effectively. Over the past five decades, the program has served thousands of aviation businesses and, over the course of its history, returned more than $26 million in dividends to participants, including over $1.8 million in the last year alone.

"NATA's workers' compensation program is designed to reward a safety-first culture with tangible financial results," said NATA President and CEO Curt Castagna. "Reaching this 50-year milestone reflects the value of long-term industry partnership and a shared commitment to safer workplaces. When aviation businesses invest in safety, they strengthen their operations, support their employees, and contribute to the ongoing success of the industry."

Beginning July 1, 2026, NATA is proud to pilot on with continued excellence and innovation through the broker-driven NATA Workers' Compensation Insurance Program underwritten by Global Aerospace, Inc.

"Global Aerospace is honored to step into this role as the NATA Workers' Compensation Insurance Program marks an incredible milestone," said Chuck Couch, Vice President and Underwriting Manager at Global Aerospace. "The program's 50-year history reflects the strength and trust that define it. We look forward to building on this strong foundation and delivering the specialized coverage and benefits aviation businesses have come to rely on through the NATA program."
